Lasswade P7's were preparing themselves for a few hard games during Royal High's Tournament today.

Their first game against Currie saw Lasswade playing fast and well with Euan scoring 3 excellent tries and Daniel Shanks another. Lasswade were 4-1 up in the first half and they seemed to slow down in the second half which enabled Currie to fight back with a final score 4-4.

Game 2 against Royal High saw both teams playing extremely good rugby. The game was fast paced with Euan running like a whippet to score 2 tries. Scott played an excellend game and scored a try and John used his strength to power through the opposition and scored a magnificant 2 tries. Cameron was able to speed through a couple of players and scored a brilliant try. Final Score Lasswade 6 Royal High 2. Daniel Sutherland is well worth a mention in this game - his tackling was spectacular. Fraser made a couple of good runs during this game as did Allesio and the boys really started to enjoy themselves. Final score Lasswade 6, Royal High 2.

Game 3 against Murrayfield Wanderers saw the boys play hard and fair. Cameron scored a brilliant try as did the powerful Daniel C. Scott came out of nowhere to score a try. Euan is unstoppable and scored another 2 with Daniel Shanks speeding down the wing to score another try. Tony also showed Murrayfield that he was a force to be reckoned with powering, through the opposition to help set up a couple of tries. This was a hard game not only because the teams played brilliant rugby but because the Lasswade boys had played 3 games without a break. Final Score Lasswade 6, Murrayfield 2.

Game 4 againt Forresters was going to be the game that the boys wanted to win. Lasswade played brilliantly. Cameron scored a try at the beginning of the game which gave them the confidence they needed. Allesio scored a brilliant try as did Scott and Fraser sneaked through Forresters to score. Cameron managed another try and John scored again. Daniel Crabbe wasn't going to be left out and powered again through Forresters boys to score another try. Thomas also had a really good tounament and kept the game going - the makings of a good scrum half! Final Score Lasswade 7, Forresters 1.

All the teams played extremely well and showed great sportsmanship. Lasswade were worthy winners, everyone playing brilliantly.
